Common issues we fix
AC blowing warm air
Almost always low refrigerant, a bad capacitor, or a dirty filter starving airflow. We measure superheat and subcool to know exactly which — and if it's a leak, we find it, not just top off and leave.
Outdoor unit not running
Capacitor is the #1 culprit — a $30 part that fails in NJ humidity. Also contactors, low-voltage transformers, and float switch trips. Fast diagnosis, fast fix.
Ice on the copper lines
Low charge, dirty coil, or restricted airflow. Never top off a frozen system without diagnosing why — we do the diagnostic first.
Water leaking from the indoor unit
Clogged condensate line, dirty coil, or a bad float switch. We clear the line, treat with algae tabs, and confirm proper drainage.
System keeps tripping the breaker
Locked compressor, shorted wire, or an undersized breaker. We measure amp draw against nameplate, check winding resistance, and diagnose the electrical fault safely.
Ductless mini-splits
We service every major mini-split brand — Mitsubishi, Daikin, Fujitsu, LG, Gree. If your head is throwing an error code, blowing weak, dripping water, or the outdoor unit is silent when it shouldn't be, we can help. Refrigerant service on mini-splits requires accurate charging by weight — we do the vacuum test, weigh the charge, and confirm superheat/subcool.
